Head Chef
Abbal Singh Bist was born 20th October 1970, in the northern states of India (Uttrakhand). As a young boy Abbal had a fascination with cooking, helping his mum and sisters prepare rich traditional Indian meals.
At the age of 18 he joined the Moti Mehal Chain restaurant, one of the best restaurants at the time as a trainee chef.
After four years of experience he joined the Oberoi Hotels & Flight Service restaurant as a Commis chef where Abbal and his team cooked and served for over 2000 guests per day. Abbal has worked for many high class restaurants including, Jeetas (India), Hotel Marine Plaza (Mumbai), Vintage restaurant (London, Harrow).
Food Festival
In 2005 Abbal organised a food festival in the popular "Rung Mehal" restaurant in Singapore. Praise has been heaped on him by eminent food critics but he refers to himself as a "natural born cook".
